Virtual Internships, a company leading this shift, connects students with global companies without requiring physical presence. According to Katina, the CFO, their mission is to bridge the gap between education and the workplace through fully online internships.

2. Virtual Internships was founded by British entrepreneurs Dan Niven and Ed Holroyd Pearce. Initially, they worked with CRCC Asia to organize in-person internships. However, they recognized the potential of virtual internships and launched the idea in 2018. The COVID-19 pandemic propelled their growth, as travel limitations obliged schools to embrace online provisions for hands-on experience. This shift enabled Virtual Internships to meet the rising demand for remote opportunities.

3. The platform links students with companies in areas like engineering, computer science, finance, and business. More than 70% of internships are international, allowing students to collaborate with teams from various countries, which improves their ability to work in a global market. Interns typically prioritize career fields rather than location. Unlike traditional internships, Virtual Internships guarantees placement for all participants, offering opportunities to those without strong networks or prestigious university connections.

Many students struggle to secure internships due to limited networks or lack of connections with prestigious institutions. By providing remote placements, the platform ensures equal opportunities for gaining valuable work experience without the need to relocate. With nearly 9,000 students placed, the platform can support over 100,000 participants, offering a level of accessibility unmatched by traditional models.

1. As part of HCMC's Lifelong Learning Week, several schools have introduced activities to build a strong reading culture and encourage students to develop independent study habits. On October 9, Tan Binh High School held the closing ceremony for its “Write a Book Review” contest, organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the library, and the Literature Club. In late August, it organised a “Self-Study with the Library Week,” offering small gifts and lucky-draw entries to students who revised there.

4. During the week, schools held workshops, seminars, digital skills competitions, and training on safe and effective online information searching. [IV] Principal Le Thi Kim Thuy of Phu Hoa 3 Primary School stressed that regular reading helps students build discipline, increase knowledge, and develop into responsible, well-rounded individuals.

5. At Tran Nguyen Han High School, this educational philosophy is firmly embedded in the curriculum. The school offers “Self-Study in the Library” as a free optional course, allowing students structured time to pursue personal interests. Vice Principal Phan Thi My Hanh explained that each class is expected to visit the library once per semester, and this criterion is included when awarding the “advanced class” title, ensuring that reading remains central to academic achievement.
